Aubrey Powell CFL1 Trainer

Aubrey was addicted to heroin and in and out of rehabs, jails, and prisons for 15 years. During her last stint in prison, in 2017, she realized her true identity in Christ and began treating her spirit, soul, and body accordingly, through fitness, food and fellowship. She has been clean and sober since. It was there that the Lord spoke the vision for this ministry into her heart. Since then she has taken all the necessary steps to build on the mission assigned. She obtained her CrossFit certification and will be graduating with a MA in clinical mental health counseling in December, 2024. Aubrey believes that fitness is merely a platform to bring people to wholeness in Christ, who is freedom. She teaches a holistic approach to recovery that calls for a consistent routine of faith, fitness, and fellowship.

My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus-the work of telling others the good news about the wonderful grace of God! Acts 20:24

Kate Powell, RN, APN, MSN

Kate is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and works with the vulnerable adolescent population. Kate found hope with the Lord after receiving a divine Intervention that helped her get back on the right path. She believes her purpose on this Earth is to be the “cycle breaker” and help individuals find their Worth and Freedom through Faith, Fitness, & Connection. She loves to use fitness as a tool to help others discover what they’re capable of- spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. She feels that in order to overcome adversity, its important to let go of what has already been forgiven and become established with purpose. Purpose will serve as a compass which will guide us in our new found lives with Jesus.

For I know the plans for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you HOPE & a FUTURE Jeremiah 29:11

Krystle Sangregory

Krystle is a woman of long term recovery. She owns a CrossFit Gym in Galveston, TX as well as works as a realtor. When Aubrey was released from prison, she said two words that would change the course of Aubrey’s life forever, “follow me”. Aubrey took her up on the offer, and they have formed a friendship and partnership, rooted in Jesus, forever! She has not only impacted the life of Aubrey, but of countless other women in the South East Texas area by offering free or discounted memberships to struggling addicts and using the gym as a platform to spread hope and provide a supportive community for people in recovery. In 2017, she and Aubrey founded the “Worship WOD”- a unique Christ centered recovery workout group- and have been taking it into recovery homes as well as the general community ever since. Krystle continues to sow into the women in her community through empowering them with the Word of God and then by, placing a barbell in their hands.

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37

Jon Powell

Jon is the living definition of FREEDOM and JOY! He has been sober since 2016. He gave up heroin cold turkey and then dove into the program of Narcotics Anonymous because he knew his life depended on it. He testifies that even after getting clean, there was still something missing. He gave his life to Jesus Christ in 2018 and with that came the wholeness and freedom that he was seeking. He attributes his successful contracting business and ability to provide for his family as a result of his obedience to the Lord. He desires to be an example to other men, of what it means to be a man of God. He is passionate about teaching young men his trade, so that they too can provide for their families. When he is not following his wife around to exercise events, he likes to run and golf, but his favorite part of this ministry is the fellowshipping!
