Our purpose at Set Free Gymistry is to use fitness as the platform to speak purpose and identity in Christ into the lives of women and men who have lived under limiting labels and lies of the enemy that have kept them in bondage to addiction, trauma, victim mentality, and criminal behaviors. The Word of God as well as current research affirm that a shift in the way we perceive and tell our story is necessary for transformation.

At Set Free Gymistry we provide a structured workout experience by certified trainers that provides participants an opportunity to experience the mood altering and healing components of the effects of exercise. At the same time, we believe that sport is a training ground for life. When we suffer and endure through a tough workout, we can then apply skills of resiliency and endurance to the hardships that we will all inevitably face in real life. We train individuals to draw from the strengths that they acquire through physical training and apply them to adversity associated with addiction and recovery and other traumatic events .

Life is not meant to do alone. Relating with each other through our struggles is important but overcoming and celebrating together is the key. Our workouts provide a tangible way to experience collective success and generate confidence in individuals even when the rest of their worlds are falling apart. Our post workout group allows us the opportunity to relate to our clients with their pasts through our testimonies, while giving participants a living example of redemption and overcoming. Our program encourages groups to generate new bonds based on living holistically for Jesus rather than just on past suffering.
